Standard scale for vehicles

The “Baremo” or standard scale is the best guarantee you have as a road accident victim, should you be unfortunate enough to suffer bodily injury. It’s a computer tool that allows the judge to calculate the amount of your compensation for personal injuries and any sequelae that may remain. It is used by all judges in Spain, thus ensuring the basic guideline that victims receive identical compensation for identical injures. It is updated in line with inflation every year by an Act of Parliament.
